The Complete Guide to Aquatica Orlando

Named the number one waterpark in the USA* by readers of USA Today, Aquatica Orlando is SeaWorld's spectacular water park where the fun is as endless as the sea itself. Inspired by the exotic South Seas and the incredible creatures that live there, Aquatica delivers a brilliant mix of thrilling water slides, wave pools, lazy rivers, sandy beaches and up-close animal encounters - all in one stunning setting on International Drive. Here's everything you need to know before you visit.

What Makes Aquatica Orlando Unique?

Aquatica isn't just a water park — it's a water park with wildlife. Some of the park's animals wander with their handlers throughout the day, while others, including Commerson's dolphins and tropical fish, can be spotted while you're actually on the rides. Keep an eye out for macaws, sulcata tortoises, spoonbill cranes and kookaburras, who sometimes do special meet and greets around the park too. It's this combination of world-class attractions and genuine animal encounters that makes Aquatica truly one of a kind.

Throughout the park you'll also spot Aquatica's seven cartoon animal mascots, each one guiding you to a different area:

Roa the Kiwi — the daredevil king of Roa's Rapids
Kata the Kookaburra — host of the cove with cool slides and games for little ones
Wai the Commerson's Dolphin — your guide to the wet and wild Dolphin Plunge
Ihu the Gecko — follow him for the biggest thrills in the park
Papa the Royal Spoonbill — your guide to the best chill-out spots on the beach
Wae Wae the Takahē — host of Walkabout Waters, where kids play and adul

Rides and Attractions at Aquatica Orlando

From heart-pounding drops and high-speed races to gentle lazy rivers and interactive play areas, Aquatica Orlando has something for every member of the family. Here's what to look forward to during your visit.

Tassie’s Underwater Twist

Plunge into a stunning underwater world inspired by the lush seagrass meadows of Australia's Shark Bay, where the landscape blooms in vivid yellow-green beneath the surface of the ocean. Keep your eyes peeled as you twist and turn through this immersive aquatic setting - you might just spot a school of fish grazing in the meadow as you go. Set to an inspiring musical score, Tassie's Underwater Twist is one of the most unique and immersive water slide experiences in Florida, and an experience you won't find anywhere else.

Ihu's Breakaway Falls

Standing at nearly 80 feet tall with a vertical drop of 40 feet, Ihu's Breakaway Falls is one of the most thrilling water rides at any park in Orlando. Step into one of three clear breakaway boxes at the top, come face to face with your fellow riders — and wait. You won't know who drops first as the floor disappears and you plunge down at speeds of 20 to 24 feet per second. Not for the faint-hearted.
