What is a Disney Band and What Does It Do?
A Disney Band is an all-in-one wristband that acts as your park ticket, hotel room key, Lightning Lane pass, photo linker and payment method - all with a single tap of your wrist.
Using Your MagicBand with the Disney Dining Plan
If you're on the Disney Dining Plan, your band makes spending credits effortless. Simply let your server or cashier know you're using the dining plan, then tap your band at the touch point. Your credits are stored and tracked automatically — no vouchers, no fuss.
Any Disney Genie reservations made through My Disney Experience are also stored on your band, keeping everything in one place.
Linking Disney PhotoPass Photos with Your MagicBand
Disney PhotoPass photographers scan your band to link photos straight to your account - whether that's a professional photographer at iconic spots around the parks or ride photos and videos captured automatically on certain attractions. Your MagicBand is also the only way to get video footage of yourself on a ride.
The best part? Our Walt Disney World Resort tickets come with Memory Maker (worth $210!) included, meaning every photo and video from your trip is saved to your account and ready to download when you get home.
How Your MagicBand Gets You Into Disney Parks
Your MagicBand is your park ticket. Just tap at the entrance (Mickey head to Mickey head) and you're in across all four Disney Parks - Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - as well as the Disney Water Parks (depending on seasonal closures), Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park and Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park. Using Your MagicBand as a Disney Resort Hotel Room Key

Making Purchases at Disney with Your MagicBand
Your band works as a charging card for food, drinks and merchandise throughout the Disney Parks. Set up a 4-digit PIN before your trip for secure purchases.
Is Your MagicBand Secure at Disney?
Disney Bands use Radio Frequency technology which interacts with long and short readers in the Disney Theme Parks. No personal information is stored, and you will be required to set up a 4-digit PIN for added security before you can use it to make purchases.
Is the Disney MagicBand Waterproof?
Bonus fact: it's waterproof! Wear it to the Disney Water Parks, on wet rides like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure & Kali River Rapids. and through those classic Florida afternoon downpours without a second thought.

Personalise Your Disney Band
Disney Bands come in a huge range of designs and styles so you can show off your personality from day one.
If you're staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can customise your band through My Disney Experience up to one calendar month before your visit - choose your colour and add your name (up to 9 characters) to the inside. Your personalised band will be waiting for you at hotel check-in. If you don't customise, you'll receive a standard grey band.
Want to go further? Decorate with MagicBands (charm-style accessories) or sliders that fit around the centre of the band. Official accessories are available throughout the parks, and you can also find sticker covers online.
How to Get a Disney MagicBand
Disney Bands are FREE for guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel and for Annual Passholders.
Not staying on-site? You can purchase a band when you arrive. They're available at World of Disney and Disney's Pin Traders at Disney Springs, as well as select Disney Resort hotel shops. Bands cannot be shipped internationally.
You don’t HAVE to have a Disney Band (but why you wouldn’t you?)
Hotel Access
You don’t have to worry about managing a hotel key on your vacation. Your Disney Band works as a room key on your hotel room door! Just be sure that your band is linked to your My Disney Experience account prior to your trip.
Park Access
Your Disney Band will serve as your park ticket! Your Disney Band and ticket will also be connected with your fingerprint, so expect to show your pointer when you scan your band.
Want to see more than just Magic Kingdom? Park hopping, for example? No worries! It’s all covered on a single Disney Band.
Photos & Memories
When you are visiting the parks, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to get your photo taken with a Disney PhotoPass photographer. You can link these photos to your Disney account through your Disney Band!
Disney PhotoPass photographers will scan your Disney Band to link any photos they take. And, if you are wearing your Disney Band on rides, it automatically links photos and videos of you on certain attractions to your Disney account. In fact, your Disney Band is the ONLY way for guests to get video coverage of you on a ride!
