The Lands of Magic Kingdom Park

Magic Kingdom Park is home to six distinct lands, each with its own unique character, atmosphere and adventures to discover. Here's what to expect from each one.

Main Street, U.S.A.

The first thing you'll see as you emerge from the tunnel under the Walt Disney World Railroad, Main Street, U.S.A. sets the scene with a beautifully recreated turn-of-the-century American town square. Shop for souvenirs at the spectacular Emporium, indulge in sweet treats from refreshing slushies to ice cream sundaes and soak in the magical atmosphere as you make your way toward the majestic Cinderella Castle.

Insider Tip: Main Street, U.S.A.'s City Hall is actually Magic Kingdom Park's Guest Relations. And if you want to meet Mickey Mouse, this is where to head first!

Fantasyland

The most popular land in Magic Kingdom Park and an absolute favourite with younger guests. In Fantasyland you can fly over Never Land with Peter Pan, glide through the pages of a storybook with Winnie the Pooh, race through a diamond mine with the Seven Dwarfs and embark on countless other fairy tale adventures. Fantasyland is pure Disney enchantment at its very best.

Tomorrowland

A sci-fi inspired galactic community presenting an ever-evolving vision of the future as glimpsed from the 1920s and 30s. Inhabited by robots, aliens and humans, Tomorrowland is home to the iconic Space Mountain, the high-speed TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise and the hilarious Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor.

Adventureland

Part jungle, part tropical island and with a desert oasis thrown in for good measure, Adventureland is exactly what it sounds like. Visit Aladdin on your own flying carpet, walk through the treehouse home of the Swiss Family Robinson, cruise down the Nile, Congo or Amazon rivers and come face to face with the Pirates of the Caribbean.

Liberty Square

Step back to Colonial America circa 1776 and explore quaint shops, cobblestone streets and an impressive replica of the Liberty Bell. Don't miss the Liberty Tree — an immense 135-year-old oak decorated with 13 lanterns symbolising the USA's first 13 colonies.

What to Wear at Magic Kingdom Park

Casual and comfortable clothing and good walking shoes are essential for a day at Magic Kingdom Park. A waterproof jacket or poncho is well worth packing for those classic Florida afternoon showers. Shoes and shirts must be worn at all times inside the park.

The following are not permitted: adult costumes or clothing that could be viewed as representative of an actual Disney character, masks, clothing with objectionable language or graphics, excessively torn clothing, revealing clothing inappropriate for a family environment and objectionable tattoos.

Magic Kingdom Park Parking

Standard Parking — from $35 per day
Preferred Parking — from $60 per day

Parking is complimentary for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests with a valid Key to the World Card or Resort Parking Permit.

Once you've paid for parking at one Walt Disney World park, parking at any of the other parks is free for the rest of that day. The car parks are enormous — note down your row and lot number on something waterproof so you don't lose your car at the end of the day.

Magic Kingdom Park Opening Hours and Getting There

Magic Kingdom Park is open daily from 9am, with closing times ranging from 6pm to midnight depending on the season and any special events. We recommend checking with the park before your visit for exact times on your chosen date.

Magic Kingdom Park has a large paid parking area near Walt Disney World Resort's Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). From the car park, take a tram to the TTC and then board either the monorail or a ferryboat into the park — the monorail is faster while the ferry is a more relaxing way to arrive.

Parking Tip: Park at EPCOT for less walking, hop on the Monorail and ride it one stop to the TTC, then take a second monorail straight into Magic Kingdom Park!

Address: 1180 Seven Seas Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, USA

For Magic Kingdom Park, take Exit 64 from Interstate 4.
