Slide at Volcano Bay

The Volcano

Venture through the hidden caverns and cascading waterfalls of this 200ft volcano which lies at the heart of Volcano Bay – and where you’ll find 3 different body slides with surprise doors that drop out from beneath you!

  • Ko’okiri Body Plunge: A racing, 70-degree drop that plummets 125ft through the centre of Krakatau.
  • Kala & Ta Nui Serpentine Body Slides: Two intertwining slides where you fall freely along 124 twisting feet.
  • Punga Racers: A high-speed race through four different enclosed slides featuring manta-shaped mats.

River Village

Head here for family-friendly attractions surrounding a peaceful winding river:

  • Kopiko Wai Winding River: Float through the volcano’s hidden caves, with spontaneous water effects and a journey through the cave of starlight
  • Tot Tiki Reef: A toddler play area with spraying Maori fountains, slides and a child-size volcano!
  • Runamukka Reef: A three-storey water playground overflowing with twisting slides, sprinklers and more.
  • ika Moana of Honu ika Moana: A twisting, multi-passenger raft ride that glides across bubbling geysers.
  • Honu of Honu ika Moana: An adventurous, multi-passenger raft ride that soars across two giant, sloped walls
Volcano Bay’s Rainforest Village

Rainforest Village

Thrill-seekers will have the time of their lives in this adventure-drenched village:

  • Puihi of Maku Puihi Round Raft Rides: This multi-passenger raft ride will plunge you into darkness before bursting into a funnel and launching into a zero-gravity drop.
  • Ohyah & Ohno Drop Slides: Twisting, adrenaline-charged slides that launch you up to 6 feet above the water!
  • Maku of Maku Puihi Round Raft Rides: Enter the dramatic lava-tube path, then Maku slides through a deep volcanic gorge before spinning wildly around bowl-like formations. 
  • TeAwa The Fearless River: Hold on tight as you race down these roaring whitewater rapids.
  • Taniwha Tubes: Easter Island-inspired slides with rafts for single or double riders.
  • Puka Uli Lagoon: This relaxing leisure pool features playful elements that even the tiniest Waturi can enjoy, like tropical bongo drums and spraying jets of water.
Volcano Bay’s Wave Village

Wave Village

The perfect place to soak in the sun and relax on the sandy shores at the base of Krakatau:

  • Waturi Beach: Swim in the sparkling, multi-directional wave pool, relax on the sand or in a private cabana.
  • The Reef: Enjoy calmer waters in this leisure pool, plus exciting views of riders speeding through the Ko’okiri Body Plunge!

Where is Volcano Bay?

Volcano Bay is situated a short journey from Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure

From I-4 Eastbound (Disney/Lake Buena Vista/Kissimmee):

  • Take I-4 East to exit 75A
  • Follow the signs to Universal Orlando's main parking garage

From I-4 Westbound (Downtown Orlando):

  • Take I-4 West to exit 74B
  • Follow the signs to Universal Orlando's main parking garage

From Orlando International Airport:

  • Take SR-528 West 11 miles to I-4 East
  • Take I-4 East 2 miles to exit 75A
  • Follow the signs to Universal Orlando's main parking garage

Volcano Bay Parking

You can use the Universal Orlando Resort car park, which is under-cover and has travelators, escalators and lifts for getting around.

You are welcome to leave the car park and return the same day without paying again – just make sure you keep your parking ticket with you as you will need to show it at the toll plaza when you re-enter.

What food can I bring into Volcano Bay?

Bringing your own food is generally discouraged, as there are some great places to eat here! However there are some items that you are allowed to bring with you. Please see below for a full list of prohibited and acceptable items:

Prohibited items

  • Picnics
  • Food that requires heating or refrigeration
  • Alcohol
  • Glass containers
  • Hard-sided coolers
  • Soft-sided coolers measuring over 8.5" x 6" x 6"
  • Coolers, suitcases or any bags with wheels
  • Folding chairs
  • Clothing with offensive language or content
  • Clothing that represents someone as emergency personnel

Acceptable items

  • Bottled water
  • Baby food & baby formula
  • Small snacks that do not require heating
  • Any food required for special dietary needs
  • Any food required for medical purposes and medically–indicated nutritional supplements
  • Soft-sided insulated bags no bigger than 8.5" wide x 6" high x 6" deep

Please be advised that all bags and personal items are subject to inspection

You can book your own private Cabana by calling Volcano Bay directly once you have booked your tickets.(Additional fees apply.)

Single Cabana Units (up to 6 people):

Choose from upper level cabanas for spectacular views, ground level cabanas for convenience and accessibility, or standalone cabanas for a bit more privacy.

Family Suite Cabanas (up to 16 people):

Relax with your group in your own large, private stand-alone cabana!
