2014 is already shaping up to be an epic year for the Universal Orlando Resort – with plans for its CityWalk entertainment complex to undergo an historic expansion!

Universal Orlando announced yesterday that 8 new venues will be opening at CityWalk throughout 2014; this follows a search for new culinary concepts to add to the complex – including a mix of popular US brands, up-and-coming concepts and some unique creations by Universal themselves.

New CityWalk venues will include: Hot Dog Hall of Fame, which features iconic hot dog creations from some of the USAs most famous ball parks. CowFish, a trend-setting concept from North Carolina, whos signature dish is the Burgushi Cold Stone Creamery and Menchies – both uber-popular spots for frozen treats!

Plus these original concepts: Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food, a unique tapas-style restaurant Bread Box, a home-style sandwich shop A modern Italian kitchen concept, so fresh they havent named it yet! But what we know is that youll be able to watch the chefs as they craft their pasta from scratch Red Oven Pizza Bakery – Universals first-ever Neapolitan-style pizza bakery (open now).

Next year will also see the opening of Universals biggest hotel yet – Universals Cabana Bay Beach Resort, as well as Diagon Alley at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so watch this space for the latest exciting additions!
