Universal Studios Florida is currently auditioning for performers in Universals Superstar Parade, which is set to debut this spring.
This will be the parks first-ever daytime parade and will feature hundreds of energetic street performers, in addition to well-loved characters and new interactive experiences.
Auditions for roles in the Superstar Parade are taking place this week and will be conducted periodically until the parade begins in spring 2012. Among the performers that Universal Studios is recruiting for will be dancers, drummers, roller-skaters, stilt-walkers and animated character performers.
The parade will be centred around new floats based on four of Universals popular movies and TV shows: Despicable Me, Hop, SpongeBob SquarePants and Dora the Explorer, featuring well-known characters from each of these shows.
These floats will be self-propelled (ie. not pulled by trucks!) and will have their own customised soundtracks complete with theme songs and character voices.
The floats will also be used as mobile backdrops at various locations prior to the parade, when guests will have the opportunity to enjoy performances and meet-and-greets with the characters.
